The case for better business conferences

Marketing and business guru Seth Godin awakened something in us with an in-depth interview late last year. In it, he referred to conference organisers as “taking an extraordinarily precious set of assets — people’s time, money and their prime unsquandered attention — and wasting them.”

And so, Uncommon Conferences was born.

We truly believe conferences should be about “…connection, empathy, being of service, and making a difference” and Seth finds those things wanting in many conferences, which he calls “very strange artifacts of days gone past that have not really changed dramatically”.

So we’re calling time on dull, uninspiring conferences and have made our case for better business conferences. Here it is. We would love to hear your thoughts on it.
